Photo Essay- We are the Body

The photo essay demonstrates the importance of using the gifts and talents God has given us to further the Kingdom of God. No one person can do everything within the Kingdom by themselves, it takes everyone using their gifts together.



Hands: Brie of Trinity Church in Lansing, MI uses her hands to play piano for the worship set during rehearsal. Brie has been an active member of Trinity serving in various ministries. Along with playing the piano for services she also plays keyboard and percussion.



Voice: Zach of Trinity Church in Lansing, MI uses his voice to sing the offertory song during the rehearsal. Zach has been playing guitar and singing since he was a child and recently started playing for Trinity Church.



Ear: Mark of Trinity Church in Lansing, MI uses his ears to check the sound levels during music rehearsals. Mark has served at Trinity Church for over ten years. In the last year he has learned how to use the sound board.



Foot: Derek of Trinity Church in Lansing, MI uses his foot to play the drums during rehearsal. Derek started playing drums for the youth group at Trinity and moved over to the main service when he graduated from high school.



Body: An illustration showing the many different body parts that make-up and are needed to create the body of Christ.


This photo essay was the final project for my photojournalism class.
